GGTI has been hosting research workshops for advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and junior researchers. This will be a similar week-long program including advanced undergraduates and graduates students. This particular program will focus on the Khovanov homology, and its applications in low dimensional topology.
We will cover the background material and explore construction of the Khovanov homology in a self contained way. We'll also introduce the “s-invariant” and it's applications.
Each day of the week we will have two or three introductory lectures presented by the mentors, followed by informal discussion/exercise sessions. There will be light reading assignments. All the participants are expected to read from the assigned sources before coming to the meeting.
This program will be mentored by Feride Ceren Köse and Eylem Zeliha Yıldız.
Organizing Committee: Feride Ceren Köse and Eylem Zeliha Yıldız.
Financial Support: This workshop is partially supported by Turkish Math Society.
