===== Geometry-Topology Student Workshop (May 23-28, 2022) ===== {{:events:2022:2022Khstudent.jpg|}} GGTI has been hosting research workshops for advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and junior researchers. This will be a similar week-long program including advanced undergraduates and graduates students. This particular program will focus on the **Khovanov homology**, and its applications in low dimensional topology. We will cover the background material and explore construction of the Khovanov homology in a self contained way. We'll also introduce the "s-invariant" and it's applications. Each day of the week we will have two or three introductory lectures presented by the mentors, followed by informal discussion/exercise sessions. There will be light reading assignments. All the participants are expected to read from the assigned sources before coming to the meeting. This program will be mentored by **Feride Ceren Köse** and **Eylem Zeliha Yıldız**. **Organizing Committee**: [[fkose@math.utexas.edu|Feride Ceren Köse]] and [[eylem.yildiz@duke.edu|Eylem Zeliha Yıldız]]. **Financial Support**: This workshop is partially supported by **Turkish Math Society**. --------------------------------------------------------------- **Applications for the workshop are now closed.** Thank you for your interest in Geometry-Topology Student Workshop 2022!
